26th October MAG Scotland AGM

I was asked to be the NC observer at AGM of MAG Scotland. It was a most enjoyable few days up at Pitlochry apart from it being one of the wettest weekends in history. The AGM was held at Moulin Village Hall, an excellent location. Everything in the region seems to be running ok and all the regional officers were re-elected. There were a few ideas discussed to promote MAG Scotland and some concerns were raised over the possibility of a third party handling the membership database.

8th November Salvation Army Toy Run, Manchester.

Attended this annual event with my local bike group and got interviewed by the media company producing a DVD of the event, so hopefully a few good plugs for MAG will have got through?

12th November 2008, RSBS Meeting, Lancashire Police HQ, Hutton.

I have been keeping the forum up-to-date with the latest MPTC fiasco as representatives from many of the local training schools attend and are very interested in the progress and MAG’s involvement.

7-8th December 2008 NEC Bike Show , Birmingham

A number of reasons for attending the show, the main one being to retrieve fellow scrapheaper Grobo’s budget Ducati chop that had been on display at the MAG stand. It was also the front cover of the December edition of BSH and generated plenty of interest at the show. We helped out on the stall over the weekend and also got chance to have a look at the IT equipment at central that I am trying to give some remote assistance with. All in all a very successful weekend.

I can’t make the NC meeting this month due to holding the NW AGM on the same date. Bit of bad timing there but hey ho !!
